The brand intended to appeal to Middle Eastern devotees of fine watchmaking with the two models specially created for the region:
Layla, a variation of the age-old “plucking the daisy” game (he loves me, he loves me not) with a Middle Eastern twist, issued in a 20-piece limited edition.
Mecca, which features a center depicting the Kaaba, the monument symbolizing the Muslim faith and highlighted by means of a mirascope (a kind of hologram).
It was also the occasion for Christophe Claret to present its latest timepiece, Angelico, unveiled at SIHH, its 10th anniversary timepiece, which for the first time within a wristwatch combines a tourbillon with a long detent escapement and a cable-type fusee transmission system.
